EideTech Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By using EideTech in your Discord server, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with these Terms, you must delete any channels added by the Bot, disable any logging or live notifications, then kick the Bot, and revoke the connection on the Twitch settings page.

2. Definitions

• Discord: The platform provided by Discord Inc. for online communication and community management.
• User: Any individual with a Discord account who uses EideTech.
• Server: A group or "Guild" on Discord.
• Server Member: A User who is part of a Server where EideTech is added.
• Bot Admin: A Server Member who has been authorized by the Bot Owner or another authorized Bot Admin to manage EideTech's settings within a Server.
• Bot Owner: The owner of EideTech, identified by Discord username tinyterry97 (331230694841909248).
• Token: A Twitch OAuth2 token used to perform actions such as moderating, creating notifications, and managing other Twitch-related functions in a Server.
• Guild: Another term for a Server on Discord.

3. EideTech Usage

3.1 General Use

EideTech can only be added to Servers by the Bot Owner (tinyterry97). By having EideTech in a Server, all Server Members automatically consent to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

3.2 Authorization

To use EideTech's features, a Server Member must be authorized as a Bot Admin by another authorized Bot Admin or the Bot Owner. A Bot Admin in one Guild cannot be a Bot Admin in another Guild unless explicitly granted permission by the Bot Owner.

3.3 Permissions

EideTech uses the following Discord permissions:

• Manage Channels
• Read Messages
• Send Messages
• Embed Links
• Read Message History
• Manage Roles
• Manage Webhooks
• Add Reactions

For live notifications, EideTech requires the "Manage Server" permission.

4. Data Collection and Usage

4.1 Data Storage

EideTech does not store any data from Discord, except for:

• A list of User IDs for Bot Admins associated with their respective Guilds.
• Message IDs related to live notifications, which are stored temporarily (up to 48 hours) to allow for edits to embeds if the stream title, game, or status changes.

4.2 Twitch Tokens

When a user authorizes via https://twitchtoken.terrance.cc, it will generate tokens that need to be manually added to the server. These tokens are stored securely and can only be used by EideTech. However, in the event of a data breach where both the client secret and the tokens are compromised, we are not liable.

5. Prohibited Activities

When using EideTech, you agree not to:

• Use EideTech for illegal or unauthorized purposes.
• Attempt to hack or otherwise compromise EideTech's security.
• Use EideTech in a manner that violates any applicable laws, Twitch's terms of service, or Discord's terms of service.

6. Service Modifications and Termination

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue EideTech or any of its services at any time, with or without notice. We may also limit the use of EideTech, and in some cases, suspend or terminate access for users who violate these Terms.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

EideTech is provided "as is" and "as available," without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your use of or inability to use EideTech.
• Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the service is provided, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make changes, we will provide notice by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of EideTech after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
