Archivist Privacy Policy

This policy outlines the terms and conditions when adding or using any of the Bots listed below on a server. This policy does not override any Discord terms.
Definitions
- Discord: The chat platform provided by Discord Inc.
- User: Any Discord account using a Service.
- Server: A group or "Guild" on Discord.
- Server Member: A User who is part of a Server where Bots are added.
- Server Manager: A Server Member who can add/configure Bots on a Server.
- Bot: An automated user on Discord labeled with the "BOT" tag.
- Associated Service: A service provided outside of Discord to enhance Bot functionality.
Bots and Services
This policy applies to the following Bots.

This policy also covers any Associated Service hosted on the following domains.
Data Collection
We collect data under various circumstances as outlined below.
Data Collected by User Commands
When a User interacts with a Bot via commands, data may be collected and temporarily stored. By providing this data, Users waive any claims to it.
- Server-specific settings
- Task-related data and content
- Saved URLs or references
- Analytics data
- Command inputs (e.g., search terms)
Automatically Collected Data
Some Services collect data automatically to enable core functionality. This data, such as Server permissions and members, is stored in the Bot's cache and is not retained long-term.
Data Collected via Authorization
Associated Services may use Discord Oauth2 for login, collecting data outlined on the Oauth2 Authorization page. This data is stored temporarily in Redis.
- Basic Discord profile details (username, discriminator, Discord ID, Avatar)
- List of connected Servers
- Email address
- Discord account connections (e.g., Steam, Reddit)
Purpose of Data Collection
Data is collected to operate the Services and gather usage analytics.
Data Sharing
We do not share data with third parties, except when required by law.
Data Storage
Data is stored on secure infrastructure, typically in databases like PostgreSQL or Redis. Despite our security efforts, absolute data security cannot be guaranteed.
Data Retention
Data collected via commands is stored as long as the Bot instance is running. Exceptions include analytics data, stored indefinitely, and event-based data.
- Message Creation: Data stored in PostgreSQL is deleted after fourteen (14) days or upon message deletion.
- Member Joins: Invite codes are temporarily stored in Redis.
- Archive Creation: Transcripts of bulk-deleted messages are stored for two (2) weeks at https://haste.terrance.cc.
Data Rights
Under Intergalactic Law, you may request a copy of your data or request its deletion by contacting us at [email protected] or through our Discord Server. We will respond within 30 days.
Feedback
By submitting feedback, you agree that we may use it in any way, and you forfeit any rights to its content or intent.
Agreement
By using our Services, you agree to this policy. Server Managers must inform Server Members of this policy. If you disagree with these terms, you may remove the Bots or leave the Server and revoke authorization in Discord's "Authorized Apps" menu.
